Alliance for People Powered Transportation

We believe that the means of transportation we choose has a profound impact on the environment and our quality of life. Cycling and walking are good for the health of the individual, the community, and the planet.

We promote cycling and walking as means of transportation in western Nevada County through support, education, and advocacy.

Forest Trails Alliance

The Forest Trails Alliance is foremost a community of friends and family who are committed to supporting recreational opportunities in the Sierras.  This group of inspiring volunteers share a few primary passions.  They design and build sweet single track, using in part, the pallet of historic and new trails connect riding areas stretching between Nevada City , Bullard’s Bar, Downieville and Forest City . Besides the pursuit of quality expeditions and adventure, it is our goal to support multi day riding by developing a larger regional network and providing information of local resources and services.

Nevada County Land Trust

The Nevada County Land Trust exists to create a balance between nature and the needs of the people who make a life and a livelihood here. This is our home. Our mission is to enrich the deep community connection with our land — today, tomorrow, and forever.

The Nevada County Land Trust is a non-profit, membership-supported group promoting voluntary conservation of our natural, historical and agricultural resources.
