Volunteers Are the Crankshaft of the Bike Blast…You Get Us Going!! Thank you for volunteering for the Nevada City Schools Foundation Bike Blast. What an exciting event this will be, as the Bike Blast kicks off the Amgen Tour of California weekend of events right here in Nevada City. Volunteers are essential to the success of the Bike Blast, with over 100 people needed to fill many exciting jobs. Please read through this information before registering on the form below. This is our first year to implement this on-line volunteer registration form. If you have any suggestions please include them in the comments field of the registration form. Thanks! All volunteers need to register through this on-line form. If you are a family or group of friends looking to work together, please put that information in the comment section, however, you still need to input each person’s information separately. You have the opportunity to request a first and second choice for the type of job you would prefer.

Please click here on the PDF file: BIKE BLAST JOB DESCRIPTIONS to view descriptions of all volunteer positions available. You do not have to select a second choice if you have no second choice. However, if your first choice jobs are filled up then we will let you know. If a certain type of job is not listed on the registration form, it is because that job has already been filled. If you have no preference then click on Any Volunteer Job and we will assign you to what is needed. After you have submitted your application, we will email you a confirmation with the volunteer job selected for you. We would ask that you click reply and confirm that you accept the job. We will do our best to give you your first choices, however, there are many volunteers requesting positions and we cannot accommodate every request. Please record the time, place and job that was selected for you. It is vital that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time for your volunteer job. Some jobs require a greater lead time and that is indicated in the BIKE BLAST JOB DESCRIPTIONS . If you cannot make it to your assigned shift then contact Joe Limov at: limov@ncsd.k12.ca.us or call 265-1840 (ext 8110).

Click the "Save the Date" flier for you to pass on to a friend and encourage them to go to the website and sign up as a volunteer.

From all of us working at the ground level to make this event successful we applaud you and thank you for your commitment to the Bike Blast. We can’t make it happen without you!
